SearchLens provides AI-powered legal document analysis and compliance services ("Services") through our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. Our services include:

• Automated contract review and risk assessment
• Legal document templates and customization tools
• Regulatory compliance monitoring and alerts
• AI-powered legal Q&A assistance
• Document management and collaboration features

3. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Services.

4. User Accounts and Registration

4.1 Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity under Spanish law
• Business accounts require valid company registration information

4.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication when available

5. AI Services and Limitations

5.1 AI Accuracy and Reliability

• AI analysis is based on patterns and may not capture all legal nuances
• Results should be reviewed by qualified legal professionals
• We continuously improve our AI models but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy
• Users retain full responsibility for legal decisions based on AI output

5.2 Compliance with AI Act

Our AI systems comply with the EU AI Act requirements:

• Transparency: We clearly identify AI-generated content
• Human oversight: Users can request human review of AI decisions
• Risk assessment: Our AI systems are classified as limited-risk
• Documentation: We maintain detailed AI system documentation

6. Subscription Plans and Pricing

6.1 Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
• Prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and include applicable VAT
• Free trial periods are available for new users (terms apply)
• Usage limits apply based on your subscription tier

6.2 Payment Terms

• Payment is due at the beginning of each billing cycle
• We accept major credit cards and SEPA direct debit
• Failed payments may result in service suspension
• Spanish VAT (IVA) applies to all transactions

6.3 Price Changes

We may modify subscription prices with 30 days' written notice. Price increases will not affect your current billing cycle.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

7.1 Consumer Rights (Spanish Law)

7.2 Cancellation Process

• Cancel anytime through your account settings or by contacting support
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• You retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period
• Data export is available for 30 days after cancellation

7.3 Refund Policy

• Refunds processed within 14 days for consumer cancellations
• Pro-rated refunds for service outages exceeding 24 hours
• No refunds for partial month usage (except consumer rights)
• Refunds issued to original payment method

8. Data and Content Ownership

8.1 Your Content

• You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload
• You grant us limited license to process your content to provide Services
• We do not claim ownership of your legal documents or analysis results
• You can export or delete your content at any time

8.2 Our Content

• SearchLens platform, AI models, and templates remain our property
• You receive a limited license to use our Services during your subscription
• Reverse engineering or copying our AI models is prohibited
• Our content is protected by Spanish and EU intellectual property laws

8.3 Data Processing Agreement

For business customers processing personal data, we provide a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) compliant with GDPR Article 28.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use our Services for:

• Illegal activities or violation of applicable laws
• Uploading malicious software or harmful content
• Attempting to reverse engineer our AI systems
• Sharing account credentials with unauthorized users
• Competing services or creating derivative works
• Processing documents containing illegal content
• Circumventing usage limits or security measures

10. Service Availability and Support

10.1 Service Level Agreement

• We target 99.9% uptime for our Services
• Planned maintenance will be announced 48 hours in advance
• Emergency maintenance may occur with shorter notice
• Service credits available for extended outages (Pro/Enterprise plans)

10.2 Customer Support

• Email support available in Spanish and English
• Response times: 24 hours (Starter), 8 hours (Pro), 4 hours (Enterprise)
• Support hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00-18:00 CET
• Emergency support available for Enterprise customers

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 Service Limitations

• Services provided "as is" without warranties beyond legal requirements
• We do not guarantee AI accuracy or legal compliance of results
• Users responsible for verifying AI-generated content
• No liability for decisions based on AI recommendations

11.2 Liability Caps

Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, except for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Breach of data protection obligations
• Other liabilities that cannot be limited under Spanish law

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify SearchLens against claims arising from:

• Your use of the Services in violation of these Terms
• Content you upload that infringes third-party rights
• Your breach of applicable laws or regulations
• Unauthorized use of your account credentials

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. EU regulations apply where applicable.

13.2 Jurisdiction

Spanish courts have jurisdiction over disputes. EU consumers may also use courts in their country of residence.

13.3 Alternative Dispute Resolution

We participate in the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform:https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms with 30 days' notice via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes affecting consumer rights will require explicit consent.

15. Termination

15.1 Termination by You

• Cancel subscription anytime through account settings
• Data export available for 30 days after termination
• Refunds according to our refund policy

15.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Non-payment of fees
• Illegal use of Services
• Extended inactivity (with 30 days' notice)
